Providing the perfect environment for relaxing and set on a cliff top plateau on the Bukit Peninsula is the Alila Villas Uluwatu, Bali’s first hotel to get the highest level of Green Globe certification for Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD)

The creation of this luxury hotel has met many ESD measures by including materials which were all locally sourced supporting local community , water conservation with soaks and rain gardens and recycling with grey water systems, heat pumps for water heating and salt water pools to name a few.

Known as one of the best hotels in Indonesia, the Alila Villas Uluwatu was designed by the award winning Singapore architectural firm, WOHA which has created this beautiful resort comprising of 84 villas offering panoramic views of the sea and horizon.

Inspired by Bukit’s dramatic, savannah landscape much of the hotels exterior is comprised of local plants which are being raised in a nursery on site at the resort to encourage local bird and animal life. Its design seamlessly integrates the cultural richness of its surroundings and continues the Alila tradition of a total destination experience that is surprisingly different and truly unique.

We all need to follow a skin care regime that can keep or skin looking and feeling its best. But those of us who suffer from acne must be especially vigilant about the methods and products we use. Acne prone skin is very sensitive to the dyes, perfumes, and chemicals that are in many beauty products. If you have mild to moderate acne, here are the tips and techniques that can help improve the look and condition of your skin.

Acne Skin Care: Dealing With Problem Skin

Beauty Products

You have probably heard of dry skin, oily skin and combination skin. If you have acne, you may have decided that your skin type is either oily or combination. But actually, it’s neither of these. Acne prone skin falls into a completely different category: problem skin. Problem skin ?

If you are prone to developing acne, you should look for skin care products that are made to deal with acne. Don’t use any beauty products that have added dyes and perfumes, as these ingredients can seriously aggravate your blemishes. Use a natural product like Oxy-Skin? for your facial needs.

Nutrition

There are a number of vitamins and minerals that can be used to improve the look and condition of your skin. The mineral zinc, and vitamins A, C, and E, and B-complex vitamins like vitamin B6 are often used to support acne treatment, as these vitamins are very important for the health of your skin. Eating foods that are rich in sulphur may also be helpful as sulphur helps to cure acne. Garlic and onions both contain a good supply of sulphur. Your health care provider may also recommend that you avoid eating sugar, fried foods, or foods that have a high fat content. Also eliminate any sugar based carbonated beverages.

Acne Skin Care: The Dos and Don’ts

Acne prone skin needs special care. Here are the dos and don’ts of caring for skin with acne:

DO

Gently wash your skin with warm water and a mild natural facial cleanser. Washing your skin twice a day will help to remove debris and pollutants that could block pores.

Choose oil free cosmetics and beauty products. Regular make up contains fatty acids that are higher in fat than the fatty acids in your skin. Look for organic cosmetics that are made for sensitive or acne prone skin.www.make-up-cosmetics.com

DON’T

Over wash your skin. Excessive scrubbing will aggravate acne and more causes blemishes to open up and spread.

Pick your skin. Never pick, squeeze or abrade your acne blemishes. Squeezing a pimple or other blemish can cause permanent scarring. And breaking the scar can allow a secondary bacterial infection to take hold.

Smoke. Cigarette smoke is a toxin that is destructive to the organs both inside and outside the body.

Use skin toners. Skin toners provide extra cleansing to skin, but they are made of very drying ingredients such as alcohol and acetone that could be damaging to skin.

Expose your skin to sun. Many people think that sunlight will improve acne. And while it’s true that some sun exposure may help dry up surface acne blemishes, prolonged sun exposure can damage skin and make acne worse in the long run.

Removing airborne pet hair is probably one of the biggest issues that comes with having a pet as part of the family. Whether your pet is a dog, cat, bird, guinea pig or some other adorable creature, pet hair can cause a lot of headache.

There are hundreds of products on the market today, but the following 5 reasons will convince you that an air purifier is the most effective way to keep pet hair under control for good.

1. Makes More Time For You–Letting the purifier clean your air means you always walk into a home that looks and smells fresh and clean. This means you’ll spend less time cleaning up after your pets and more time enjoying them; and since the hair is removed from the air before it falls, there is less hair to send airborne from the furniture and floor as you move about the house doing normal activities.

2. Removes Invisible Pollutants–Pet hair is the obvious problem. But dander or the dead flakes of skin that any warm blooded pet sheds are often attached to the hair. Unfortunately, it is the protein in pets’ dander that can make life so miserable for those who suffer from allergies, asthma, and other chronic respiratory conditions.

3. Improves Your Health–Pet hair and dander are often triggers of allergy, and asthma-like symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, and worse still full blown asthma attacks. By constantly reducing the level of airborne particles that your pet creates-dust, pollen, feathers, dander, kitty litter, sawdust, you create a safe space where both your family and pets can co-exist happily.

4. It’s a Cheap Solution–Filtering your air continually 24 hours a day every day uses very little electricity and is a set it and forget way to take hair out of the air before you can inhale or ingest it. It also saves you the time and money that would be required to purchase other products and apply them.

5. Safe to Use–If you’re like me, you are continually on guard about everything that you introduce into your home because of the adverse effect it may have on your family and your pet-whether it’s the food, toys, treats, cleaning solutions, lawn care products-anything and everything.

A well-made air purifier provides only fresh, pollutant free air as a by-product, and is safe for pets and small children because pieces are less likely to be chewed, cause choking, or other injury.

After receiving a large number of questions from readers inquiring how it’s possible to use a online background search on somebody, we thought we would write a quick guide outlining how this can be done. There’s lots reasons why you might want to dive into somebody’s previous history, so how about we get to it!

The net has made it simple to find all types of details, and personal background checks are an example. Previously the only means to find this information was to hire and pay a detective agency to conduct a search. As you can imagine, this was extremely expensive and it took a long time to get the information you needed.

Today there are background check websites that allow you to look through background record databases in order to locate information about anyone you want. This includes the individual’s address history, marriage records, job history and all sorts of other details. The level of detail you can discover is pretty unbelievable.

The databases that you can conduct a search through are put together by investigative organizations that specialize in this kind of service. You will be expected to pay a fee for using a background search as they must fork out a great deal of cash to organize their databases and maintain them.

You’re best bet is to utilize a web site that provides infinite background searches for a one-time membership fee. If you choose this alternative, you are just billed the one time and are then permitted to run as many background checks as you wish.

Let’s take look at a tactic you can try to uncover background info on someone without being charged. This won’t always work, but it’s worth a try since it’s completely free.

Visit Google and type in the individual’s name in quotation marks followed by the city they are from. Press the search key and take a look at what Google returns. There’s a possibility that this individual has information about him or her displayed on the net somewhere. If they do, Google can locate it for you. Although this won’t often work, it costs nothing so you might as well give it a shot anyway.

Using a personal background search is a fantastic manner to expose thorough information on anybody you’re curious about. It’s a fast and easy means of uncovering somebody’s complete history right from your own home computer.

Thought you finally outgrew the days of bad skin and pimples? Well, think again! Many adults suffer from acne in their late twenties and thirties, even those that had never experienced the problem in adolescence. There are generally two types of adult acne – the more common form called Acne Vulgaris, and the more rare form called Acne Rosacea.

It is estimated that up to 85% of the American population between the ages of 12 to 24 years of age have suffered from some form of Acne Vulgaris. However, only about 5% of the population, or 13 million people, experience the aggravation and "rosy" cheeks of Acne Rosacea.

Acne Rosacea is a skin condition that is generally restricted to the face and eyes. It generally affects people between the ages of 30 to 60 years old. The condition is characterized by pimples, redness, and broken blood vessels.

At the onset, a person’s cheeks may tend to blush or flush very easily. However, as the rosacea develops further, redness will be noticeable around the nose area, and then extend over the remainder of the face. An extreme case might experience enlarged oil glands in the nose that can lead to an enlarged and bulbous red nose.

For those suffering from this condition, almost 50% will have issues extending to their eyes. Eye symptoms may include burning and tearing, redness, inflamed eyelids, or a scratchy feeling of something in the eyes.

Acne Rosacea is not medically dangerous, but is also incurable. The good news is that it can be controlled with treatment. The goal of the treatments is to minimize the symptoms and reduce sensitivity of the skin and eyes.

The first step in determining a treatment regimen is to identify possible "triggers", which will be different for each individual. Acne Rosacea generally flares-up when an affected person is exposed to certain environmental or dietary conditions. Some common "triggers" may include hot baths, exercise, wind, cold weather, and certain skin products. This is by no means a comprehensive list.

The key to relief is to identify those conditions which tend to aggravate your Rosacea. Easier said then done, you say? Not really.

The National Rosacea Society recommends that you maintain a symptom diary. The purpose of your diary is to record what was eaten or the conditions immediately prior to the onset of a Rosacea flare-up. Over a few weeks time, you should start to see a pattern form that will give you insight into your own "triggers". Of course, once you have these "triggers" identified, you can avoid these conditions by modifying your lifestyle or eating habits.

Other factors can also contribute to the exacerbation of Rosacea and should be avoided if at all possible. These factors include: avoiding direct sunlight, reducing stress, avoiding long workouts or exertion in hot weather, and limiting spicy foods and hot beverages.

What do former presidents Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin have in common? A condition called acne rosacea, a chronic inflammation of the blood vessels in the skin, which causes a ruddy complexion and small acne-like eruptions on the cheeks, forehead and nose.

In men it can often cause the skin on the nose to thicken and swell, leading toa condition called rhinophyma.

Nobody know what causes it but the list of potential triggers is endless. The main culprits are alcohol and rich, spicy foods.

Because its roots are unknown, there’s no permanent cure either, so management is the key. This is partly achieved by identifying what makes the rosacea worse through a process of exclusion and by the use of topical antibiotics – usually metronidazole. A GP’s diagnosis is vital since the symptoms can be similar to more serious conditions such as lupus. Rosacea can last a lifetime, especially in men, but often clears up on its own.

Donna Baker-Olson of Escape to Travel shares her thoughts on 10 things you can do to feel safe while traveling:

?
1. Know the rules.

As an international traveler, you should be aware of the rules for bringing items back from your trip.
?
2. Be informed.

always check travel warnings for the area where you will be traveling.
?
3. Lock up.

When leaving your room make sure your door is securely closed and locked.
?
4. Get travel insurance.

Any number of things can turn your perfect vacation into a disaster such as illness, accident, natural disasters, lost luggage, delayed flights or canceled flights.? The best way to protect you against these and other major problems is to have good travel insurance.
?
5. Know your rights.

Airline passengers do have rights. Learn what they are here.
?
6. Trust your instincts.

The best precaution you can take is to trust your instincts. Only choose accommodation you feel comfortable with and stay away from ground floor rooms or ones with easy access from the outside (i.e. a balcony). Ask to see a room before you take it-is it clean and safe enough?
?
7. Be prepared.

To help safeguard yourself, consider taking a self-defense course, let someone at home know your itinerary, and register with the closest overseas U.S. embassy if you’re going somewhere unusual or offbeat. Also, act confident (even when you’re lost) and pay attention to social customs (do women go out alone after dark?).
?
8. Consider your load.

Most importantly, don’t carry so much baggage that it could compromise your safety and prevent you from keeping one hand free. If you’re feeling weighed down by all your baggage and travel books, mail something home.
?
9. Buy a doorstop.

Protect yourself, never travel without a simple rubber door-stop. It can stop intruders in their tracks. It’s inexpensive, light to pack, and gives you the peace of mind to sleep well. The main door to your room usually has a pretty good lock and peephole and sometimes a bar chain. But if there is an adjoining room, that door usually has a fairly flimsy lock. The doorstop is especially useful in those situations.
?
10. Keep your valuables close.

Carry your passport, plane ticket, traveler’s checks and cash in a concealed money belt worn around the waist.
